Weekend Wedding
So I arrive in Chicago at 4:30am on Friday 8/27. I then did not proceed to sleep until 2am on Saturday 8/28. Needless to say, I was really frickin tired. My Uncle Greg (step-dad's brother) got married on Friday and it was a whole day thing. We left the house at 6:15am to go play golf. This included my brothers, and a lot of the bride/groom's brothers. I have come to the conclusion that I am terrible at golf. I mean, like really bad. It's a good thing we capped the number of strokes per hole at 10, because otherwise it would have been really ugly. After that, we got some lunch. It was actually free, because the waiter had spill about 2 glasses of coke on me as he was bringing the drinks, so the manager gave us our lunch for free. Then came the ceremony, which was outside. It was a very nice ceremony, but it was out in the sun and it was about 80+ degrees out. Oh, did I mention I was in a full tuxedo. This made it quite uncomfortable at times, but no biggie. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a ton of fun. I got my groove on, as much as my whiteness would let me. It started winding down around 1am, and after that I helped do some clean-up and then headed home.
Fortunately I got to sleep in until noon on Saturday. This was much needed.
