CDs I bought a while ago

Here's an update on some of the CDs I have purchased recently and how good I think they are.

I have a 3-song split EP of FSF and I like it a lot. I haven't heard anything off any of their full-length albums, though.

Have you ever heard of Poor Old Lu?

Is it old FSF? I have another FSF album that I purchased off iTunes named 'The Moon is Down' and I liked it a lot more. The reason (I think) is that Chris Carraba[0] used to be the lead singer of FSF and I am sure his influence on their lyrics and such made me like 'The Moon is Down' more. I just couldn't get into 'How to Start a Fire', but I should probably give it another listen.

Never heard of Poor Old Lu, any good CDs I should check out?

[0] He quit FSF to work on his side-project full-time, Dashboard Confessional.

Yes, it was their first release. I think "The Moon is Down" was their only full-length release with Chris. Forgot to mention that I also saw them live once BITD at a little club somewhere near Indianapolis (I think). I went there with Tim Kilbourn. Which is why I ended up getting the EP.

Anyway, I would recommend starting your POL experience with the album "Sin." I can email you a couple of MP3's if you want to give it a free listen.

Ah, well it makes a little more sense now. I'll probably just pick up the POL CD that you recommended. I typically am not too adverse to just buying CDs, especially on a friend's recommendation.
