Concert Review - Kasabian/Jet/Oasis
I saw 3 bands at Shoreline Amphitheater on Sept. 11[0]. Kasabian was the first act, followed by Jet with Oasis headlining the entire thing. First of all, it was a great show. I really enjoyed myself and we had really good seats, which helps a lot.
Kasabian is probably the least well known, and I hadn't heard of them when I bought the tickets. I listened to their CD a little before the concert and it was pretty good, and after seeing them live, I like the CD more. Simply put, Kasabian rocked. They sounded really good live. I give them 4/5, mostly because they weren't on very long (30 mins).
Jet was the 2nd band, and is a band most people know because of their song "Aren't you gonna be my girl" or something along those lines. They were ok live, not bad, but not spectacular either. Of the 3 bands that night, I enjoyed Jet the least. 3 out of 5 pirates.
Oasis kicked all sorts of ass, and I got to see some of the antics by the lead singer. He has definately let the "rock star" thing go to his head. Most of the night (it felt like) he was just posing in front on the stage. Just seems kinda weird when he had a tamborine balanced on his head for 2 minutes while the rest of the band is playing. 4 out of 5 pirates.
Overall, good show and definately worth the money.
[0] Seemed a little odd to me too, but oh well.
