Settlers and Movies
I was at Joel and Amy's house last night, hanging out with friends and playing some Settlers of Catan in honor of Nate's last night visiting in Indiana when the subject of movies came up (surprise, eh?).
At one point during the evening, I had claimed that Serenity had made its way into my personal top 5 favorite movies. I had even claimed that it pushed Memento[0] out of the top 5. And I loved Memento. At this point, I was asked for my list, but was unable to remember all of the movies oddly enough.
Well, here's the list, and it's not in order.
- The Princess Bride
- The Lord of the Rings[1]
- Braveheart
- Serenity
- The Shawshank Redemption
So, yes Memento was pushed off the list, which is not to mean that it isn't a superb movie (it is).
[0] I loved how the movie was done. Excellent storytelling.
[1] I consider it all 1 big movie, but if I had to pick one of the parts, it would be Fellowship of the Ring.
