PSA for the day

Here is a public service announcment brought to you by the Moviegoer's Association of America[0].

"If you have a young child and you want to go see a movie which is clearly made for adults, please leave your crying baby at home. Hire a babysitter, ask a relative or simply do not go. You are ruining the experience of overpaying theater-goers everywhere. Thank you."

[0] Not really.

Not to mention that the poor baby is probably crying because it's way too loud in there for those young ears and he/she would be way happier at home. Poor little kid. :(

An excellent point, as I am sure the baby understands the sounds of explosions, screams, etc. coming from the movie. I mean, babies understand all that stuff, right?

::sarcasm off::

Michael,

Gotta tell ya, I'm not all that fond of tweens and old people at the movies either. Your Uncle

Back in the day, when I went to the theaters on opening night 3 times to see the SW:SE releases, I was annoyed by the high concentration of rowdy teenagers in the theater.

Jamie and I have also had occasion to remark the presence on noisy babies in theaters. When we went to see Episode III last summer, we took Seth with us. Jamie nursed him pretty much the whole time, and I got up and walked him around in the back of the theater a couple of times to help him quiet down. We also sat in the back so that our up and down routine would disturb as few people as possible. If he had busted out crying, one of us would have left the theater. In my opinion, if you're going to bring a small child with you to a decidedly adult movie, you should be prepared to inconvenience *yourself* and no one else.

But that's just my opinion. . . :)
